2024–25 Panini Obsidian Soccer returns with its signature black opti-chrome design, combining a sleek dark aesthetic with vibrant colour accents, die-cut inserts, and a strong lineup of club and national team players from around the world. Each Hobby box contains seven cards, including one base card, one base parallel, one insert or insert parallel, and a total of four autographs or memorabilia cards.

The base set retains the black chrome styling, complemented by a wide range of parallels. This includes returning favourites like the vivid Flood parallels, the more understated Electric Etch, and the White Contra parallel (one per case). Insert sets include die-cut designs such as Supernova and Equinox, along with case hits like the fan-favourite Color Blast. A new addition, Iridescent, also appears as a case hit. Notably, Black Color Blast inserts return, replacing the traditional white background with a bold black backdrop to further highlight the card’s rainbow detailing.

Autograph content spans multiple themes, including Lightning Strike and Volcanic, both of which may feature memorabilia elements. A special 25th anniversary subset commemorates the 1999 U.S. Women’s National Team, winners of that year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, with autographs from players in that historic squad.
